Hello there! My name is Josselyne Gonzalez. I am originally from El Paso, Texas, where I earned my first bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. I am currently pursuing a second degree in Communications at Full Sail University. Through my studies and academic background, I have sharpened my skills in storytelling, editing, and crafting emotionally resonant narratives that connect with diverse audiences. As a former mentor and writer, I aim to craft immersive stories that inspire reflection and empowerment for underrepresented voices.
My creative journey has also been shaped by my professional experiences outside of writing. As a hairstylist, I have developed a deep understanding of communication, empathy, and the power of listening — qualities I now channel into my writing. Every client and every story holds a world within it, and I believe that whether through a conversation or a script, connection is the heart of meaningful storytelling.
I aspire to merge my storytelling craft with my love for interactive media, where players and viewers can see themselves reflected in complex and authentic characters. I aim to write stories that not only entertain but also inspire empathy, self-discovery, and a sense of belonging. Through my creative work, I continue to explore the intersections of culture, queerness, and personal growth — weaving together emotion and imagination to tell stories that linger long after the last page or scene.
